Sometimes a client will decide to move a piano from one room to another in their home. As they go through a doorway often times they bump the front key slip portion of the case going through the doorway as illustrated in this photo. The white mark is paint from the doorway. Always favor the backside of the piano when going through a doorway to avoid this mistake. Fortunately, for the client of this $40,000 Steinway & Sons upright, Dan Alberts Piano Service was able to rub out the damage and restore the look of the cabinet finish.
